Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Addison, IL. This full-time role offers daytime hours and a compensation range of $29.00 to $38.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

You will build quotes, develop new business, and coordinate with account managers to grow sales while maintaining strong customer service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in counter sales or equivalent experience with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new technology.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn about products via on‑the‑job training.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Minimum 1 year in Counter Sales or equivalent with electrical products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and follow up on quotes and opportunities to secure orders; negotiate pricing with vendors.
• Proactively solicit new business from assigned accounts and promote services and products.
• Collaborate with Field/Key Account Managers to develop growth strategies.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Support other sales associates to foster a cooperative team.
