Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Rep in Hampton, VA to support the branch’s business plan by meeting a diverse customer base. You will handle in-branch equipment rentals, customer relations, telemarketing, and collections while proactively increasing revenue through equipment rentals and sales.

Responsibilities include processing quotations, educating customers on proper usage, and coordinating with staff to ensure flawless service and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation and sales experience/skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Engineering aptitude: ability to size, quote, install and maintain large projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of rental business for specialty products and services.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts through telemarketing and call-ins.
• Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts and invoices per policy.
• Educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of contract information in the branch system.
• Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
• Run reports to monitor equipment and aid operations.
• Coordinate with branch staff to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
