Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Inside Sales Rep in Upper Marlboro, MD. You’ll serve as a key customer contact and consultant, quoting, selling and fulfilling orders based on customer needs.

You will process quotations and contracts, establish new rental and sales accounts, negotiate prices per policies, dispatch deliveries, generate leads for Outside Sales, and maintain a presentable showroom with merchandise while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Process rental quotations, reservations and contracts.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers.
• Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and contractor supplies per policies.
• Dispatch delivery trucks and manage customer expectations regarding delivery.
• Generate leads for new business and communicate with Outside Sales Representatives.
• Warm call on lost or dormant accounts to retain business.
• Maintain a clean showroom, sufficiently stocked with merchandise.
