Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to support the branch's sales efforts, sell, quote, and promote building materials, and ensure timely communication on orders and delivery dates.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 3-5 years of related experience, and strong computer skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. It offers base pay with commission, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient computer skills; experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (intermediate or advanced)

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to convert inbound inquiries into actual sales
• Overcome objections for prospective customers
• Prepare quotes and sales orders for orders obtained
• Make outbound sales calls based on activity plans from Sales Manager or GM
• Develop and maintain customer relationships
• Estimate delivery date based on product knowledge and schedules
• Update customers on changes to promised delivery dates
• Enter new customer data and sales data into the database
• Communicate with buyers on product shortages or quality issues
• Additional duties may be assigned
