Responsibilities

• Seek new business opportunities by prospecting new carriers and strengthening relationships with current ones through negotiating rates and closing deals in an open transactional selling environment.
• Carrier Collaboration to align carrier resources with customer freight needs.
• Rate review of data to understand freight characteristics, economics, and profitability for future market conditions.
• Interacts with internal teams to share information and support growth.
• Displays an enthusiastic, positive attitude reflecting core values.
• Develops a 12-month sales plan and reviews progress quarterly.
• Manage and negotiate rates to optimize freight movement for the customer.
• Selects carriers and manages freight from shipper to consignee.
• Reviews carrier qualifications to ensure service levels meet company standards.
• Communicates with drivers to align availability and location with customer needs.
