Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Carrier Sales Rep 1 in Kentucky to facilitate load movements by contracting and managing an outsourced carrier network. You will track freight to ensure customer requirements are met by the selected transportation provider and deliver the highest level of service.

The role focuses on negotiating rates, expanding the carrier base, and using digital tools to drive efficiency. Strong Excel/Power BI skills and solid negotiation abilities are preferred; a high school diploma

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Equivalent years of experience defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate movement of loads by contracting and managing outsourced transport providers.
• Track freight to ensure customer requirements are met by the selected provider.
• Provide top-tier service to customers and carriers.
• Negotiate rates and secure load coverage while maximizing profitability.
• Develop and maintain carrier relationships and networks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues for carriers and customers.
