Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Sales Center & Hardware Associate to deliver exceptional customer service to walk-in and phone customers, support hardware and building material sales, and oversee order fulfillment, inventory control, and showroom operations in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

You will assist customers with product selection, estimating, and purchasing, read blueprints, prepare estimates, coordinate with Dispatch for timely deliveries, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked showroom

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Construction Technology or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in building materials, lumber, or hardware retail preferred.
• Customer service or sales experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with selection and purchase of hardware and building materials.
• Read blueprints to determine material requirements and prepare estimates.
• Enter orders and process payments, returns, credits, requisitions, and transfers.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and liaise with vendors.
• Maintain showroom displays and merchandise materials.
• Support inventory control and stock levels.

The Sales Center & Hardware Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to walk-in and phone customers, supporting hardware and building material sales, and overseeing order fulfillment, inventory control, and showroom operations. This role assists customers with product selection, estimating, and purchasing, while ensuring accurate order processing and efficient coordination with internal teams and vendors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Customer Service (External & Internal)Represent SBL in a positive and professional mannerGreet walk-in customers and respond to incoming calls in a timely mannerAssist customers and sales staff with selection and purchase of hardware and building materialsProvide product recommendations based on customer needs and project requirementsSupport showroom floor and counter sales activities2. Estimating & Order ManagementRead and interpret blueprints to determine material requirementsPrepare material takeoffs and accurate estimatesEnter orders and estimates into company systemsAssemble hardware and material orders for deliveryProcess customer payments, returns, credits, requisitions, and transfersSource and special-order products as needed3. Communication & CoordinationFollow up with customers regarding order status and deliveriesCommunicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and product specificationsCoordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely and accurate deliveries4. Inventory Control & MerchandisingMonitor stock levels and order materials as neededReceive hardware and special-order itemsAssist with inventory countsMerchandise materials, displays, and literature throughout the showroomMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom5.
