Job summary

Heartland Logistics Group, LLC is seeking an Inside Sales Executive in Lenexa, KS for a high-growth third-party logistics environment. You will build a new book of business, win new customers, and expand relationships with shippers while coordinating with operations and carrier teams to ensure service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in freight brokerage or logistics, and a track record of prospecting, closing, and growing a book of business.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
• Experience in freight brokerage, transportation or logistics preferred.
• Ability to prospect, win new customers, manage a book, and sell in a margin-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new shipper relationships via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
• Build and maintain an active pipeline of small-to-midsize accounts.
• Understand customers' transportation needs and propose multi-modal solutions.
• Negotiate pricing while protecting gross profit margins.
• Own relationships from prospecting to close and ongoing growth.
• Manage and expand existing accounts assigned to you.
• Collaborate with carrier sales and operations to execute shipments and resolve issues.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and sales activity in the CRM.
• Pursue monthly and annual gross-profit and new-business goals.
