Job summary

SunSource is seeking a customer-focused Inside Sales/Customer Service representative in Washington state. You will build relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate orders and responsive service.

You will enter orders in ERP, prepare quotes, assist customers in finding the right components, and support the sales team with upsell opportunities while maintaining high service standards. Thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes to meeting delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred in fluid power or technical field.
• 2+ years in customer service or inside sales in industrial distribution or related industries.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid power, electrical, power transmission, motors, or motion control is highly desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; quick learner of CRM systems (Trend a plus).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and mechanical aptitude; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal sales teams.
• Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and portals promptly and professionally.
• Enter customer orders into the ERP system with 100% accuracy.
• Prepare and enter quotes into the ERP system or shared directories.
• Assist customers in finding the right components using catalogs, web resources, and internal tools.
• Expedite orders as needed to meet delivery commitments.
• Provide solutions in a team environment and support outside sales (quoting, expediting, visits).
• Follow up on quotes and actively support sales development, including up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
