Job summary

PALCO Power Systems, a subsidiary of Scott Electric Company, seeks an Inside Industrial Sales representative at our Winfield, WV location. The role focuses on handling inquiries about generators and power equipment, preparing quotes and sales orders, and delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will support cross‑department coordination, maintain CRM records, and help contractors and engineers with pricing and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2-5 years inside sales or customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical information, equipment specs, and electrical terminology.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Team-oriented and capable of cross-department coordination; self-motivated with strong follow-through.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in documentation.
• Able to learn generator product lines, sizing concepts, and industry terminology.
• Confident speaking with contractors, engineers, and industrial clients.
• Positive, professional demeanor with strong problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Associate degree or technical coursework; experience in industrial equipment or electrical/mechanical industries.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming calls, emails, and web inquiries regarding industrial generators, transfer switches, and related equipment
• Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and sales orders based on customer specifications and project requirements
• Provide product information, pricing, lead times, and technical guidance to customers and partners
• Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and service departments to ensure timely delivery and project support
• Maintain CRM records, customer profiles, and sales activity logs
• Follow up on open quotes, leads, and outstanding customer requests
• Support outside sales staff with documentation, scheduling, and customer communication
• Assist customers with warranty registration, service coordination, and product documentation
• Track inventory levels, incoming shipments, and available stock for quick-tum orders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and industrial clients
• Support marketing efforts by distributing product literature, promotional materials, and updated pricing sheets
