Job summary

Scott Electric Company, including Palco Power Systems, seeks a Service Technician for residential and industrial generators across Western PA, based in Jeannette. You will diagnose, repair, and service prime power installations and standby systems with on-site fieldwork Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and potential on‑call requirements.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical and mechanical backgrounds, generator systems experience, and own tools.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical background.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and startup of diesel and gas generator sets.
• Working knowledge of Generator Power Systems.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair prime power and stand-by electrical power installations.
• Understand automatic start/stop controls, safety shutdowns, switchgear, circuit breakers, and control panels.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel and gas engines.
• Perform service on generators and parts in various environments.
• Safely assemble/disassemble equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Complete service reports and update work orders.
• Provide electric power generator service to customers.
