Job summary

Batteries Plus is seeking an Inside Commercial Sales Representative to grow our B2B sales in the Maryland area, including Cooksville. You will drive outbound prospecting, qualify leads, and convert opportunities into revenue while building long-term customer relationships.

In this role you’ll partner with field sales leadership, manage a portfolio of accounts, and maintain CRM records. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years in consultative inside sales or B2B selling; industrial products a plus.
• Proven ability to achieve sales goals through prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear phone presence.

Responsibilities

• Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective customers, identify key decision makers, and promote Batteries Plus commercial programs.
• Understand customer needs and present tailored solutions to drive product sales and long-term relationships.
• Manage a portfolio of accounts, maintaining consistent contact and follow-up cadence to ensure satisfaction and growth.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and Outside Sales Representatives to identify and pursue large commercial opportunities.
• Execute a structured call plan that includes outreach to new prospects, inactive customers, and existing accounts.
• Assign and manage leads appropriately within the commercial sales portfolio.
• Partner on bids, pricing, and competitive conversion strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, activities, and opportunities in CRM systems.
