Job summary

Chesapeake Spice Co Llc is seeking an inside sales and accounts support specialist to handle order intake, processing, and basic logistics coordination. You will communicate across departments to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, while supporting customers and sales staff.

The role requires strong administrative skills, 3+ years in account services (manufacturing preferred), and solid Excel/Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• AA degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years’ Account Services experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive customer relations.
• 3 years’ general administrative experience required.
• Logistics experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office applications proficiency; Excel required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to sit at a computer keyboard for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Originate inside sales; take orders via phone, fax or e-mail and input orders into system.
• Follow orders from time of placement to invoice; communicate order issues to other departments.
• Confirm orders to account purchasers; analyze logistics options and notify logistics company.
• Input new accounts; maintain account codes; manage sample requests as needed.
• Assist salesperson with requests, credits, returns, and account grievances.
• Request updated pricing and send to accounts; communicate with customers regularly.
• Manage aged receivables and follow up on past due invoices.
• Maintain min/max levels per customer; provide inventory to customers on request; plan full truckloads.
• Prepare monthly aged inventory reports; answer phones and handle admin duties.
