Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Account Representative I to manage purchase orders of commodity and specialty chemicals and liaise with customers, suppliers, and carriers. You will handle end-to-end order progression, invoicing, and document maintenance in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and at least 1 year in customer service, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in a Customer Service role, familiarity with the chemical distribution or transportation industries is preferred.
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
• Strong computer skills including databases and CRM systems are required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with customers, suppliers, and carriers via telephone and/or email.
• Manage email traffic from multiple distribution lists.
• Serve as logistics coordinator, working with outside vendors and carriers.
• Process and maintain orders from receipt to delivery, including invoicing and documents.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing and other internal departments.
