Job summary

Healogics is seeking an Inpatient Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse to evaluate patients, provide wound and ostomy care, and coordinate initial plans of care in an inpatient setting.

The role collaborates with attending providers, reports to the Inpatient Nurse Manager, and may assist at the outpatient WCC when needed. RN license and BLS required; 1+ year wound/acute care experience is expected.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice; CPR/BLS certified.
• Minimum 1 year wound care or acute care experience.
• Wound and Ostomy Certification preferred or required by state.
• Willing to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
• Demonstrate autonomy, organization and scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical evaluation and patient care for wound/ostomy patients.
• Communicate plan of care with physicians and team.
• Support outpatient wound center when needed.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient education.
• Utilize hospital data systems and document care activities.
• Participate in quality improvement and training.
