Job summary

Healogics is seeking an Inpatient Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse to provide clinical evaluation, patient care, and collaborate on initial plans of care for inpatients. Role may include outpatient wound center support and reporting to the Inpatient Nurse Manager with dotted line to Market Director.

The position emphasizes comprehensive wound and ostomy management, collaboration with attending clinicians, and nursing responsibilities aligned with CMS and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• CPR for Healthcare Provider (BLS).
• Min 1 year wound care/acute care experience.
• Wound Ostomy Certification preferred or obtainable within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to medical/nursing standards and hospital policies.
• Provide wound care and ostomy patient care.
• Conduct wound/ostomy assessments and document plans of care.
• Communicate findings with physicians and plan of care updates.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient education.
• Support outpatient wound care as needed.
• Serve as a resource for wound product selection and use.
• Monitor pressure redistribution surfaces per hospital guidelines.
