Job summary

The Inpatient Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse at Healogics will provide clinical evaluation and patient care for wound and ostomy patients, under the direction of the Inpatient Nurse Manager, with potential nursing support for the outpatient Wound Care Center.

The role requires ADN/BSN, RN license, BLS, 1 year wound care/acute care experience, and certification preferred; you will contribute to discharge planning and ongoing staff education.

Qualifications

• ADN or equivalent required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year related experience in wound care/acute care.
• CPR certification for Healthcare Provider (BLS).
• Wound/ostomy certification preferred or as required by State (AAWM or WOCN preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical evaluation and patient care for wound and ostomy patients.
• Collaborate with attending physician on initial plan of care.
• Provide nursing support to outpatient wound center when needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and CMS guidelines.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
• Provide education and act as a resource to staff on wound care.
