Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Unit Coordinator for the Cardiology Unit 5 West at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. The role is a 32-hour, onsite evening position (3pm–11:30pm) with rotating weekends and holidays, reporting to nursing staff under supervision.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, admissions/discharges support, and handling physician orders and patient flow. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and comfort with EHR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills for recording patient information.
• Ability to read, spell and write at a high school level; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' charts; ensure forms and information are ready for use daily.
• Assemble charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Process physician orders in computerized systems and support patient-care workflows.
• Support timely patient flow using bed tracking systems.
• Answer phones; follow Lahey Clinic greeting; relay messages to unit staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and related regulations.
