Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Ohio seeks a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare the surgical field, assist the surgeon during procedures, and help maintain a sterile environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring room readiness, on-time starts, and contributing to patient care in inpatient surgery, with opportunities for professional development and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program, holds a certificate of surgical technology through the NBSTSA, NCCT or graduate of a school of practical nursing.
• Current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Ohio.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting goals and initiatives for surgery department; such as, but not limited to room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assists in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintains sterile techniques.
