Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology required.
• One year perioperative or related surgical tech experience preferred.
• Must be CST/ NBSTSA/ TS-C or NCCT certified (TS-C not accepted in Cincinnati).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider preferred or required prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Scrub person role: assemble supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments; perform sterile counts with circulating RN.
• Maintain sterile field; assist with drapes and provide instruments during procedures.
• Retrieve and label specimens; communicate implants and devices to circulator.
• Prepare and adapt to patient population needs; participate in safety and infection control.
