Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Rita's Medical Center seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures by preparing sterile instruments and assisting the surgical team. The CST/NBSTA/NCCT certifications are required with a preference for BLS and an associates or equivalent Surgical Technology credential.

Prior perioperative experience is valued. Position emphasizes aseptic technique, instrument handling, and room readiness before and after procedures.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology is required.
• Must hold CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT certification per licensure requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
