Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pediatric, Critical Care, Oncology, and inpatient pharmacies under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You will assist with medication delivery, distribution quality checks, and take-home medication services, upholding MetroHealth's mission and service standards.

Candidates must have a HS diploma, be 18+, and obtain or maintain PTCB/ExCPT certification or Ohio registration within 90 days.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42.
PTCB or ExCPT certification obtained or certification within 90 days of hire; maintained during employment.
Ohio State Board of Pharmacy registration: active or becomes registered Certified Pharmacy Technician within 90 days; maintains registration throughout employment.
Willingness to travel to external satellite locations with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Under supervision of a Pharmacist, supports pharmaceutical care across specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
Assists with medication delivery, takes home medication services, and quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
Upholds the MetroHealth System mission, vision, values and customer service standards.
