Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation Charlotte is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in spinal cord injury rehabilitation to join an interdisciplinary inpatient team. You will evaluate and treat SCI patients, plan therapy, and help patients regain independence.

First year in position follows a rotating schedule (Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday) with three weekends off per quarter. Requires a Bachelor's in OT, state license, and BLS; prior neurologic/SCI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy required.
• State OT license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with neurologic populations, particularly spinal cord injury, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct OT services in inpatient acute care and rehabilitation settings, seven days a week as needed.
• Plans, conducts and documents OT programs to restore function and maximize independence.
• Supervises OT Assistants, Rehab Technicians, volunteers and students.
• Coordinates discharge planning with physicians and care team.
• Documents evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge notes.
