Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, seeks an Occupational Therapist specializing in spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation to join the inpatient rehabilitation team. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to help SCI patients regain independence and daily living skills, with a focus on individualized, intensive rehab.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, state OT licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in the applicable state; BLS certification.
• Experience with spinal cord injury and neurologic populations preferred.
• Strong ability to evaluate and plan occupational therapy in inpatient settings.
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team to support patient goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services in inpatient acute and rehabilitation settings 7 days a week.
• Evaluate patients and develop therapy plans to restore function and independence.
• Supervise OT assistants, rehab techs, volunteers and students.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans.
