Job summary

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center Acute Care Rehabilitation Team is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient setting. You will evaluate, plan, and supervise therapy programs to improve function and independence, working with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in OT, state licensure, and BLS, with a focus on comprehensive patient-centered care and safe discharge planning across trauma, neurology, oncology, and critical care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy program required.
• Applicable state license for Occupational Therapy required.
• One year experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct therapy services to patients seven days a week, including holidays.
• Evaluates patients and develops appropriate care plans and modalities.
• Gathers data from medical records and coordinates with care team.
• Re-evaluates patients and adjusts goals as status changes.
• Communicates progress to physicians and other clinical staff, coordinating schedules.
• Documents evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge information.
