Job summary

Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for a day shift (7:00a–7:30p) with 0.90 FTE.

You will assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer care and medications, and maintain detailed medical records. The role includes patient education on health maintenance, monitoring for side effects, and communicating changes to the team.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment.
• AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for reactions/side effects.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and monitor/report changes in patient status.
