Penn State Health is hiring an inpatient Registered Nurse for the St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA. The RN will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and administer medications while documenting health changes during night shifts.

The role requires NY RN license, BLS/ACLS, and strong patient communication. 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shift with a $5/hour night differential; 0.90 FTE and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in state of employment or multi-state license via compact.
• AHA BLS and ACLS/ALS completed before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Maintain accurate records and document changes in patient condition; educate patients on health maintenance.
