Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking an experienced RN inpatient for Med/Surg to assess patient health problems, develop nursing care plans, and document care during shifts.

You will administer medications, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the care team. This full-time (0.9 FTE) day-shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a 50% Penn State tuition discount for eligible employees and dependents, with comprehensive benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS and ACLS/ALS to be completed prior to the end of the orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care and medications, monitor for reactions and side effects, and record and report changes in patient conditions.
