Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist I for inpatient rehabilitation in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers two scheduling options: four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, with a Sunday in the first week for one option.

The ideal candidate holds an OT degree from an AOTA‑accredited program, Illinois licensure (or eligibility), NBCOT certification, and CPR from the AHA. Strong assessment and patient education skills are essential.

Qualifications

• The completion of a degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited school, or the equivalent.
• Current Illinois licensure or eligibility.
• Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Preferred acute care/inpatient OT experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care to patients in inpatient rehab.
• Assess and treat patients and develop care plans based on developmental stages.
• Evaluate functional abilities including ROM, strength, ADLs, transfers, cognition, and home management skills.
• Implement treatment plans to regain function and reduce pain; adjust as needed.
• Prepare and complete patient records, billing, and documentation per guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab staff for optimal care.
• Involve patient and family in care planning and discharge planning.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff as directed; delegate tasks as needed.
• Maintain safety and infection control procedures; participate in meetings and QA.
• Foster professional growth and participate in departmental activities.
