Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an Occupational Therapist I for Inpatient Physical Rehab Services (Days). This full-time role focuses on 1:1 patient care, evaluation, treatment planning, and delivery of therapy across developmental stages to restore function and reduce pain.

The OT will document care, collaborate with physicians and nurses, involve families in the plan of care, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• The completion of a degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited school, or the equivalent.
• Current Illinois licensure or eligibility.
• Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Preferred experience: acute care/inpatient Occupational Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 patient care and treatment according to developmental stages.
• Assess functional abilities and plan therapy to regain function and reduce pain.
• Administer and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Prepare and complete patient records, billing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and hospital staff for optimal care.
• Involve patient and family in the care plan and post-discharge planning.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff and students as directed.
• Maintain safety and infection control in daily practice.

OT degree from AOTA-accredited program

Illinois licensure eligibility

NBCOT Certification

CPR certification
