Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an inpatient Staff Nurse who provides expert nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process. The nurse coordinates care, delegates appropriately, and collaborates with the health team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires a BSN and Illinois RN license, BLS certification, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills. ADN holders may apply with commitment to complete BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN degree and RN license in Illinois required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Willingness to obtain BSN if ADN holder within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops individualized plan, coordinates care and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents plan.
• Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plan.
• Uses evidence to guide practice decisions.
