Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an inpatient Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients, coordinating care with physicians, families and the care team.

Candidates must hold a BSN, be a licensed Illinois RN and possess BLS. Experience in Emergency/ Pediatric ER is preferred. Northwestern Medicine offers a robust benefits package and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• BSN required and Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in specific clinical areas and ER/Pediatric ER preferred.
• ADN graduates may apply with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Directs care and determines deployment of nursing staff involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff to document the plan of care.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide clinical decisions.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
