Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Diagnostic/CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiologic and CT examinations in alignment with physician orders. You will ensure accurate patient data, assist in transporting patients when needed, and maintain imaging quality for timely radiologist interpretation.

The role requires ARRT registration, accredited radiologic technology education, CPR certification, and experience with radiology information systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology or documented cross-training program.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Six months relevant experience required; three years preferred.
• Advanced level certification in CT by ARRT or NMTCB within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform radiologic and CT exams per physician orders and procedures.
• Provide support in transporting patients between departments when required.
• Adhere to safety, policies, and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Operate and troubleshoot RIS and radiology information systems.
• Interact with patients and families professionally and courteously.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain competencies.
