Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients within the rehabilitation services department. This full-time role offers a 32-hour work week with a flexible but defined first shift (roughly 7:00 am to 5:30 pm) and a strong preference for weekend availability.

The position emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, adherence to APTA and Summa guidelines, and ongoing competency development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor’s Degree and Certification in Physical Therapy.
• APTA-accredited program completion required.
• Current License issued by the Ohio Physical Therapy Board.
• CPR/BLS certification for Health Care Providers.
• Board certifications in clinical specialty areas are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients per APTA guidelines and Summa Rehabilitation requirements.
• Develop and administer medically prescribed physical therapy plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate treatment.
• Adhere to department policies, competencies, and service standards.
• Provide clinical care and participate in continuous quality improvement.
