Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for inpatient services, rotating across locations including Akron, OH. The role supports PTs by administering prescribed treatments and ensuring patient safety within established guidelines.

Candidates must have a PTA program credential, Ohio licensure, and CPR. Weekend/holiday rotation and regional travel may occur, with a focus on compassionate patient care and teamwork within Rehabilitation Services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current licensure issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Athletic Trainers Board.
• Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists in administering therapeutic treatment to assigned patient population.
• Performs treatment within parameters established by and under guidance of Physical Therapists.
• Complies with Ohio laws and Summa Health System/Rehabilitation Services requirements.
