Job summary

UT Southwestern is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse for the Texas Behavioral Health Center in Dallas. The role features 2 x 12-hour day shifts in a premier behavioral health environment.

You will deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team and participate in CPI holds as trained. Required are a Texas RN license, BSN or equivalent nursing degree, and BLS/CPR certification; 1 year RN experience, preferably in mental health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program. English literacy required.
• 1 year RN experience; mental health/behavioral health preferred.
• Current Texas RN license; BLS/CPR required; CPI training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered behavioral health nursing care.
• Document assessments, care plans, and interventions accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
• Perform CPI holds and safety procedures as trained.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
