Job summary

The DCH Health System in Northport, Alabama, seeks a licensed MSW to join our inpatient psychiatric care team. This role focuses on psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, and patient/family education within a multidisciplinary environment.

The successful candidate will document assessments, contribute to the master Treatment Plan, and coordinate with a diverse team to ensure safe, effective care. Inpatient hospital experience is desirable; strong communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• MSW in Social Work is required; LCSE preferred.
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy with license/certification as required by discipline.
• Two years inpatient hospital experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must read, write, speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform groups as assigned.
• Document psychosocial assessments and groups in the patient’s medical record thoroughly and promptly.
• Contribute to the interdisciplinary treatment process by informing master Treatment Plan with problems and goals.
• Assist in admission and discharge CQI data on assigned patients.
• Maintain productivity and complete annual competencies as required.
