Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital seeks an Inpatient Post Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will follow established nursing models and advocate for patients and families, contributing to outstanding outcomes and the future of nursing.

You will assess, administer medications, document care, educate patients and families, and partner with providers to optimize outcomes in a fast-paced surgical unit.

Qualifications

• RN or RN diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of applicable experience.
• Current RN license in state of practice or compact license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift.
• Administer medications, monitor response, and document care in the chart.
• Respond to patient requests and proactively address needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
