Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Inpatient Rehab Therapies department seeks a Staff Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients. Per diem, day shift, with collaboration across disciplines to promote mobility and independence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy, MA license, and either AHA/Red Cross BLS. 2+ years inpatient acute care experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families and health care team.
• Analytical abilities to evaluate patients’ condition and progress to guide treatment plans.
• Must hold a Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical therapy evaluations per department guidelines.
• Sets treatment goals aligned with patient needs and reimbursement requirements.
• Implements individual and group treatments with clinical competence.
• Complies with policies and standards of department and institution.
• Demonstrates ongoing professional growth and knowledge of regulations.
• Participates in development and evaluation of PT programs.
• Collaborates with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
