Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands Corporation in Hyannis, MA is seeking a per diem Outpatient Physical Therapist to support patient mobility and functional recovery. The role involves interpreting evaluations, setting treatment goals, and guiding patients through exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices.

The ideal candidate holds a Massachusetts PT license (DPT preferred), with internship or 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in-service education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with both patient and family.
• Participates in Hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
