Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands Corporation is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist per diem to assist patients in achieving maximum physical performance, interpret evaluations, set goals, and administer manual therapies and patient education.

Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required; licensure requirements vary by year, with DPT preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Massachusetts PT license preferred; licensure details provided.
• 1–2 years internship/experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment and adjusts plans.
• Performs patient assessments and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in-service education for nursing staff as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and reevaluation plans.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervises PTAs according to policy and state regulations.
