Boston Medical Center's Inpatient Rehab Therapies department seeks a Staff Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients. Per diem, day shift, with collaboration across disciplines to promote mobility and independence.
The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy, MA license, and either AHA/Red Cross BLS. 2+ years inpatient acute care experience encouraged.
Reporting to the Rehabilitation Therapies Supervisor/Manager, the Staff Physical Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments of in and outpatients with physical and functional deficits, planning and implementing individual/group physical therapy treatments to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, prevent permanent disability and restore independence, using various treatment techniques. Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments. Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education. Work requires a Bachelor’s / Master’s or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution by start date.
Work requires a current Commonwealth of Massachusetts license by start date. APTA and MCAPTA membership preferred. Requires AHA or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Workers certification by start date.
For this per diem position, Physical Therapists with 2+ years of inpatient acute care experience encouraged to apply.
