Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and outpatient medication preparation and dispensing. You will assist the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists, ensuring medications and tools are available for clinical teams and patients.

Responsibilities include filling drug orders, replenishing Pyxis machines, preparing IVs, and maintaining inventory and documentation in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Replenishes all Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temperatures; documents corrective actions.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
• Medication dispensing and distribution to patient areas; restock of pharmacy inventory and nursing units.
• Performs billing/crediting functions to ensure proper billing of medications dispensed to patients.
• Picks up Physician orders from team centers regularly; performs light housekeeping duties.
• Uses aseptic techniques to prepare IVs and record IV refrigeration daily; transports IVs to the nursing floor.
• Maintains competencies related to IV lab, Pyxis, McKesson Automation and CAPS.
