Job summary

UCI Health in California is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the Pharmacist's supervision. You will handle data entry, filing, and support drug purchasing and inventory control, contributing to department performance improvement projects.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of full-time pharmacy tech experience, strong English communication, a California Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Intern registration, and ability to work

Qualifications

Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs.

Responsibilities

Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist.
Perform data entry and filing associated with the process and perform functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required.
