MercyOne Central Iowa seeks a Certified Pharmacy Tech to support medication delivery and IV admixture preparation in Des Moines. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, stocking supplies and assisting with daily pharmacy operations.

The role requires national certification requirements and Iowa board registration, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualificações

• Prepares medication orders and delivers medications and IV admixtures.
• Restocks automated dispensing machines and inventory items.
• Assists pharmacists with audits and completes unit inspections.
• Provides training and mentoring to new employees and assists in directing workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and deliver medications to patient rooms and critical care areas.
• Prepare IV admixtures including TPNs, chemotherapy IVs, IV piggybacks, and syringes.
• Restock automated dispensing machines and cart inserts (crash carts, airway carts).
• Assist pharmacists with audits and complete assigned unit inspections.
• Communicate stock utilization and ordering needs.

Formação académica

High School Diploma or GED when nationally certified through NHA

PTCB nationally certified technicians do NOT require HS diploma or GED

National Pharmacy Technician Certification and Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire

Completion of Mandatory Reporter training for children and dependent adult abuse within three months of hire
