Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Des Moines area team on a part-time, rotating shift. You will support pharmacists by preparing medication orders, stocking supplies, and delivering medications and IV admixtures to patient care areas.

As a valued member of MercyOne Central Iowa, you will assist with audits, unit inspections, and workflow coordination while maintaining strict safety and accuracy standards.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified pharmacy technicians must hold PTCB certification and be registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
• High School Diploma or GED; completion of Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medication orders.
• Delivers medications and IV admixtures to patient rooms, critical care areas, and other ancillary areas.
• Restocks automated medication dispensing machines and carts (crash carts, latex carts).
• Assists pharmacists with audits and completes assigned unit inspections.
