Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required (NHA credential)
• PTCB certification not required for HS diploma
• Must be registered with Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Prepares medication orders.
• Delivers medications and IV admixtures to patient rooms and care areas.
• Restocks medications and IV supplies; supports drug distribution.
• Assists pharmacists with audits and unit inspections.
• Restocks automated dispensing machines and carts; participates in check-in/out.
• Compounds and labels extemporaneous preparations per procedures.
