Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Six months inpatient/outpatient direct patient care experience or 800 hours as PCT I.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly.
• Medical terminology, computer skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN about observations and changes in patients.
• Provide constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist in de-escalation when needed.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and mobility.
• Record vital signs, height/weight, and perform tube feeding or related tasks per protocol.
• Assist with treatments by preparing equipment and assisting clinicians, including positioning.
• Monitor intake/output and ostomy care as directed.
