Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its Palliative Care team. You will deliver inpatient and outpatient palliative care within a 350-bed academic medical center and clinic, collaborating with physicians, social workers and pharmacists.

The role includes teaching fellows in an ACGME-accredited fellowship, and potential for a faculty appointment based on teaching activities. Massachusetts licensure and DEA registration are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical experience required.
• ACHPN preferred.
• Clinical experience in geriatrics, oncology, cardiology, pulmonary, nephrology or neurology.
• Massachusetts licensure required.
• Active DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and address patient needs, including symptom management and goals of care discussions.
• Educate patients and families to support them during illness.
• Contribute to education and division's missions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and palliative care physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in on-call rotation.
• Develop clinical practice guidelines for quality palliative care.
