Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing team providing direct patient care for complex medical or surgical conditions in ambulatory and inpatient settings. The role collaborates with faculty, fellows, residents and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care.

Candidates must have a Master's degree, APRN or PA license, prescriptive authority, and BLS; 0-1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; APRN or PA licensure as applicable.
• MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG.
• Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 0–1 years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examinations and develops care plans.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests and educates patients and families.
• Educates staff and serves as a clinical resource through consultations and seminars.
• Coordinates care across services to ensure safe, efficient patient-centered care.
• Provide direct patient care and management for all opioid patients.
